I am jumping on a bit of a bandwagon.
But a bandwagon that I have had one leg on for, oh, about, oh 2 years on and off.
It's that band wagon with the destination of "It's a New Year I am going to lose weight and be fit..."
I have had one leg on this bandwagon for a while. The leg I have had on is the one that goes and works out several times a week. That goes to the gym and makes exercise a priority (most of the time).
The other leg is the leg that watches what she eats. That counts calories. That leg has never left the station.
But both legs are on the wagon now, and the wagon is on what I am sure will be a long and at times difficult journey, full of bumps, stops and hopefully some fast days at full throttle:)
I figured blogging about the journey would help make it public, and when you make it public, then you tend to follow what you put out there. In college, I decided I was going to run a half-marathon. The second I registered for the race, it was on. And, sure enough, I ran a half-marathon (no college 15 for this chick:)).
So, a few days ago I registered with Weight Watchers, so now I am paying to track what I eat, so hopefully this will motivate me to keep in line. I plan on posting my progress every week so that I can remind myself how far I have come, and let myself vent when things get hard:) I figured this would also be a good way to get some support, which one does need when trying to get healthy/lose weight.
My goal is 30 pounds. GO ME:)

Holidays....Celebrate
Man, from one holiday to the next:)
The last time I posted it was right after Thanksgiving and I wrote about how lucky I felt to have so many blessings in life.
Well, here I am a few days after Christmas, doing the same thing:)
Honestly, Shawn and I haven't been up to much since Thanksgiving except for working and getting ready for Christmas. Fortunately, we have also been able to see family, relax and just have time at home together at a nice, relaxed pace. We are so lucky to have friends and family to visit and see and laugh with.
Here are a few pics from the holidays. Shawn spoiled me and got me a new camera for Christmas, so I plan on continuing to get better at taking pics....

I hope everyone had a wonderful, peaceful holiday!
